"You get a strange feeling when you’re about to leave a place. Like you’ll not only miss the people you love but you’ll miss the person you are now at this time and this place, because you’ll never be this way ever again.” Azar Nafisi

TAURUS - The Tramp

Aggressive. Loves being in long relationships. Likes to give a good fight. Fight for what they want. Can be annoying at times, but for the love of attention. Extremely outgoing. Loves to help people in times of need. Good kisser. Good personality. Stubborn. A caring person. They can be self centered and if they want something they will do anything to get it. They love to sleep and can be lazy. One of a kind. Not one to mess with. Are the most attractive people on earth!

Nobody is perfect and any science is exactly but I like to read it and make fun about it.

What do you think?

P.S: Are you Gemini?

One ticket, please

Hello dears,

Last Wednesday I had the pleasure to assist to the Brooke Fraser's first concert in Spain.
She's a pop-rock-folk singer-songwriter from New Zealand, perhaps you've heard about her because her new hit Something in the water.

The story is I got free tickets for an acoustic concert in Barcelona. It was in a small and antique but pretty knowless place called Music Hall. I had to go with a friend, Doli, but someone stole her car (Fortunately she got it back today) and one hour before the concert I hadn't companion. I made some calls but nobody was avalaible at this time so, I decided to go alone.

I have to say that I only knew her hit but I discovered a lot of nice songs like: Coachella, Who are we fooling? (feat. Aqualung),  Orphans, Kingdoms and my new favourite Betty. All of them from her last album, Flags. But she also played a cover, a very good one, Violet Hill of Coldplay.

Brooke is tall (maybe more than 1,80...), beauty and stylish but the most important is that she has an incredible voice and a strong energy to play. The band had an amazing guitar's collection. Brooke played, at least, two different guitars, the piano and also she tied up some bells in her ankle to bring more rythym to my unexpected Wednesday's evening.

There wasn't so much public and I'm pretty sure I was the most excited there because I was the only one who sing and boogied. I don't care. I had fun in that shitty day. So, thanks to Flaixbac for the free ticket and to Brooke and her band for play, at least, for me.

The hardest goodbye

"Segueix-me el fil" or "Follow my thread", in English version, was created to update all my friends during Erasmus time.

The adventure began in Feb 2011 when I moved to Gent knowing nothing about the city or, even,  the country. I didn't have a place to stay, I didn't know anybody there and my English wasn't so good but I had my courage and my friendly personality. But there was something that perturbed my mind, a question that I couldn't answer until now.

"Are you gonna change?"

I was worried because I knew some people who went for Erasmus and when they came back I couldn't understand them anymore. I wasn't confortable with them. I didn't get their jokes. I just forgot how to get along with them. That was the reasonwhy I was a little bit worried about my relationship with my friend.

Time passed and five months ago I came back and, now, I can say that I've changed (a lot). I've learned more than English. I've learned how to be more responsible. I've known a lot of people from different countries. I've taken care of some of them and some of them have taken care of me. I've laughed, I've cried, I've loved, I've grown up. I'VE LIVED!!!

But dears, I couldn't learn how to be punctual, sorry.

The thing is that everybody changes when they have a kind of experience like this. But then you come back home, where everything is exactly how it was when you left it. It is quite ordinary. Places are the same. People are the same. Jobs, school, home, parties... all of them are the same. So, you miss your old life.

What happened to you in these five months with these people who you didn't know before? Now you cannot even (do) pee without them. They were with you day and night, for the good and bad times, and everything reminds you them.

My friends said I'm the same Jess, but I didn't feel the same. At the beginning I felt like I didn't belong to that place anymore. I didn't like to be here, I was talking about Gent all-the-time, about these amazing friends that I had met there. In Gent, we did all the crazy things that you can imagine!
It was crazy!! When I realised it, I tried to change. Well... I'm still trying.

I'm learning how to appreciate again the ordinary things. I'm trying to be in contact with my Belgian family. Trying to see them again and know about their current lifes. We cannot live stucked in the past because gone is gone. But it doesn't mean that I have to forget them. We have to create our future. Dream about it, draw it and go for it.
Who knows? Perhaps, one day our ways will be together again here, there, anywhere! Who knows if one of them will be my child's godmother or (step) aunt... Who really cares about it now? We don't know it yet but I'm sure that I'm not gonna forget this amazing family never. I'm not gonna forget this amazing family ever!

If you ever hear this
But don't answer that
In a bullet proof vest
With the windows all closed
I'll be doing my best
And I'll see you soon
In a telescope lens
And when all you want is friends
I'll see you soon

You're sexy and you know it

Happy birthday little bad boy!

You know I'm dying to spend today with you but we just can make one of our Dirty Dancings mentaly. Thanks for everything, from the beginning until the end, and now. You said you never keep your friendships in touch when there is distance but you are doing really good with our. Love you, nene. Lots of kisses and the biggest hug.

With love, Jess.

Mentira.

En febrero he visitado Bruselas, Brujas, París y Aalst.
